Yes, they do send promptly. The quality of goods: the stitching of the falconry bag I bought fell apart after a month:( I was also sent a broken scale and they refused to believe it when I contacted them. Got a scale in working order after a bloody month.
It's probably just my experience, but the raving reviews on this blog make me somewhat suspicious.
Um...was this international shipping?? To Japan? I could see a set of scales being broken on such a long trek across the planet! I don't know about your falconry bag, though, because a lot of people buy leather goods from there, and I haven't heard much about shotty stitching except from you.....I would not be so quick to write a bad review unless I had a really bad experience...I have ordered some books and the shipping was very fast, and they were in perfect condition. I don't think I would buy a hawking bag, since so many things can be converted into one anyways......sorry about your tough luck, but I stand by my previous post, and I plan to make an order with him this week..... P.S. this is a forum, not a blog.

The blog thing was tongue&cheek. Yes, it was a negative experience. No, it's not my fault for ordering a hawking bag because I should have made my own. You had a good experience. That's positive. Good stuff.

Hey no worries...I'm just saying that it is a long way to have to ship breakables.... and again, haven't bought those types of things there, only books. and the prices are good on . I hope you didn't think I meant anything against you...I just thought that shipping all the way to Japan, that things like breaking the scale could happen easily.....I am sorry for your experience, though. I bought my scale on amazon....and use a purse as a bag, etc. Did he sort it out with you and accept a return? That would be good to know.
All - stop writing reviews about receiving a new book. for god's sake. only write reviews about equipment and supplies where quality is a factor. write about their handling of the defective or damaged good and your experience with them in an exchange or return. Ex 1: Dell computer's factory service warranty is a fraud. Dell is responsible for the OS tech service when they bought the license to sell the M$ OS but don't provide it. Dell lied to me repeatedly on the phone and to our Attny General's Office. I, TX, NY and other states sued them and won. now you can use that when you buy your next computer. Ex 2: "i got a new book in the mail from "Vendor XYZ." it is a new book! i love this vendor." uhhhh
People can write reviews about whatever they want. Service, whether good or bad, is still service regardless of what you ordered from the vendor.

I hesitate to post this as I haven't ordered from Mike's before, but his hoodsaver problems have become my problem.
The ABS large size were breaking, so they stopped stocking them. I tried to order a large leather holder and got put on wait list.
This was in Feb and I had to call to find out statis of order. Seems like a nice guy with a supply problem, but I've never had problems with the other "big three".
I will call Mike's AGAIN tomorrow and try to find out what's going on.
I have a nice Ken Hooke tooled hood and don't like cramming it into my vest pocket. I don't use a hood pin after running the point of it through the back of my palm. I do hope Mike's can meet my needs. If and when they do, I will post that.
Took your advice echotadog, and called Pineo's. Also called Mike's and cancelled my order. He said the holders were in and... I thanked him and said no thanks. I won't bad mouth Mike's, as I don't really have much to say. I mean, stuff happens, and I wasn't terribly put out.
I figure, no harm, no foul. I wish him well.
I did talk myself into buying a titanium swivel, also. ;D Pricey, but heard nothing but good about them. Will carry Sampo on spare leash in vest pocket. Pineo's hood holsters sound nice. I like the idea of a soft lining to protect the finish of a hood. Look forward to having it on my vest strap.

Have not bought anything yet as I am still working on starting into falconry but I signed up for the news letter and he sent it to to me along with an email. I emailed him back a couple of times and he himself replied. It's so nice to talk to a actual person not a pre-scripted email and the owner no less. Bottom line absolutely love the old and new website! ;D
Mike's is a great place to shop! If something isn't right he will make it right, he's just that way. I would contact him and let him know what the problem is or mail the item to him with a note. There is always a possibility that his supplier may have made an error and he might not even know it..
