Well, i suppose these guys have been a good vendor for quite a while. Just posting that I ordered some books with them last week and they arrived today. Still a great vendor imho.
I agree that Western Sporting is a good reatiler. Quick service and fast shipping. However, I ordered some black kangaroo leather from them and it was sooo thin.
Would not recomend buying leather unless you see and feel it first.

I just recieved another shipment from Western Sporting. I made most of my falconry purchases form them and have to say I am always impressed by the friendly fast service they provide. Put my order in on saturday via their website, got order confirmation monday and the package arrived on wednesday. Their prices are competative and products are high quality.

This is probably good advice, but we should be able to trust them to deliver what you order.
Did you contact Western Sporting about your concerns, and what was their response?

Well, I didn't contact them about the leather becuase it wasn't until 1 month later and after I cut it up into jesses/anklets when my sponsor pointed out how thin it was. I then measured the thickness with a dial caliper and realized it was pretty thin (compared to other leather). I bought the thickest stuff they had at the time.
I talked to some other falconers about it and it seemed like they had some issues with thin roo leather lately also. (one purchased from Mike's). I still have the leather though. I bought it for my redtail, but I'll use it on a coops someday.
I ordered the CHC Study Guide and Apprentice Manual as well as Beebe's Falconry Manual and received them in 4 working days via regular USPS delivery. That's pretty good customer service.

Purchased a number of things from Western recently, them and Mikes are my 'go to' if I can't make what I want or get it from an individual craftsman. Shipping is always super fast with western, zero complaints.
I will say, their elk glove was fantastic. I bought a cowhide glove (because they don't have the elk size I need in stock) and I am not quite as pleased. The cow hide is too stiff for my personal preferences with gloves. I knew this in advance, as every single cowhide glove I've had has been like that, but otherwise it seems like it is decent quality (had it about a week). I would still highly recommend the elk hide glove from them as a redtail glove! It would be my go-to if I still had it.
