They do have all the neccisary equipment for a falconer to "survive" and I respect Brad for that but I still shop around for equipment at a cheaper price.

I know Brad personally. Being almost exclusive in what he sells means that he can charge a premium. If you order is messed up he will always correct it. Yarak
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away
I know that for a fact. Brad is a really good guy. In all of the orders that I have from them there was only one screw up, which was fixed within days. They are really good people.

My experiences have been mostly good. Fast service. My custom cut glove was expensive but it fits great. I have small hands and regular gloves just won't fit.
They messed up once. The sent the wrong size grommets when I ordered female RT sized stuff. I called and they overnighted the replacements and thru in a freebie item.
I do shop around for price. I do buy from them if it's something they have that I want.
I mostly do EBAY for books now. WSP is nice also.
I'll buy from them again as needed.

So far I've had all good experiance with Northwoods and I do everything over the phone that way if I have a problem I have a name to blame. I've had some good conversations with the staff and even gave Brad a hard time over the phone once, It was early in the morning and he was having one of those days, And of course I can't have a simple address or simpler I think that's what confuses some people. I agree that some of their stuff is pricy and a lot of my stuff i find at the local feed and ranch supplier, but books, grease, and other such products I get through them.

Brad is top notch, and we get all our supplies for work from Northwoods. Even had Brad out here for a visit a few weeks ago.
His prices are steep, but if you can your order in, everyone is always courteous and friendly, and if there is any problem, they are always willing to correct it.
Regarding their astroturf...I thought the same at first, but the reason for the price is that they dont use cheap crap...theirs is the same that is NFL uses. If you have a kestrel, I would urge you to spend the extra and buy it. It is MUCH safer for their feet and not as easy for them to chew through...did I mention it is better for their feet...?! lol
I have ordered a few books from WSP and all of them have come in a very quickly, I am usually suprised when I see the UPS man with a package only 2 days after I order them. However, I have never ordered off of NorthWoods but they are very over-priced which most falconry items are if you buying them instead of making them. Like the perches for example can be made for 15-20 dollars and they sell them for $125 you just need a welder, rebar, and some rope and/or astroturf to wrap around the top.
P.S. this is my first posting. Just thought I would put in an opinion.
