It's true...I took her out on her first hunt the saturday before last, and that's when I lost her. My sponsor told me that I flew her when her weight was too high....I feel so bad because this is my fault, and it couldve been avoided I guess... anyway, if your in the southeast missouri area and you see a PRT with bells, anklets, and hunting jesses(unless she pulled them out) please PM me!! Oh and she's also a bit darker than your regualr missouri RT.
Thanks so much, FG
PS...I miss her soo much....

I am truly sorry for your loss. Keep your head up, and prepare for the long wait until next trapping season. Mistakes are always made, and I bet you will never let this mistake happen again. Time will heal your heart.
Went hunting with Mark yesterday. When it was time to leave, he couldn't find his bird. He walked around for quite a while... nothing. I joined him. My first question was "Have you tried the lure?" He said no. I told him to pull it. He did and the bird hit it in about 5 seconds. Keep swinging!
Still no luck... and Ive been dragging the lure, swinging the lure, whistling, calling her name, even driving around with my baited trap ready. Still no darn luck! Ugh! I'll keep trying...I just hope there's still a chance. God Bless, FG

I hunted with my bird alone her first time... Trust me, my sponsor has done more than enough for me: he's given up lots of time for trapping with me and teaching me, and I'm always asking him questions over the phone, (and I can just imagine how annoying I get, BobDale!) And though I am NO WHERE NEAR being a experienced falconer, this was my second bird...though I didnt get much hunting done with my first bird since he died of asper in the middle of hunting season... Anyway, I appreciate your question, K9Jay, by the way, where do you live in Illinois? Anywhere close to Cape Girardeau? The bootheel?
I went out looking for my bird the other day again. I saw two hawks, but they both bumped really easy when I tried to set the trap out. (Both of them looked like her size and somewhat her coloration, and Im desperate to get her back, so I'm setting out my trap to almost any hawk I see around, since I do have the chance to retrap her) But still no luck. Do you guys think she's still in the area?....I want her back so bad. =( Anyway, best of luck to everyone else, and I hope everyone's hunting season has gone spectacular! God Bless Love, FG
