Hi Joe, You must be Teddy's apprentice. I just missed you up at Bill's place when you came over to pick up Turk. Turk is a good dog and I've hunted with him before. I think he's a nephew to my Cobie (Blackhawk Cobra). You can definitely tell as they've got the same hunt drive, which is non-stop. -Joe
I'm sorry I missed you at Bill's. If Cobie is anything like Turk he must have a ton of drive to him. Turk is very nice addition to my pack. I plan on breeding him to a bitch i have with a very good nose but can use a little more drive. I hope turk will put this in her offspring.
Yeah, drive is the key word. Both Turk and Cobie have the same drive, which is non-stop hunt and kill mode!! That drive can be traced back to Teddy's little bitch Steffi, which is prominent in both of their pedigrees. So, he should pass it along to at least some of his pups, I know Cobie has. Turk is one hard driving dog, that's for sure. I'm just sorry I never saw him work any of the harder stuff. My exposure was pretty much limited to seeing him work the bunnies. -Joe
Back when Teddy had him, I got to watch Turk work two differnt coons and three ground hogs in the same day. It was then that I wished I had spcae for him in my kennel. Unforntanly I had to wait to make some room and get rid of some dead wait.
Teddy tells me you know a bit about Lee shelton Harris Hawk breeding project. Im in the market for one and been trying to get in contact with him. If you have a chance can you contact me @908-507-5965 to talk about the birds he is breeding. Tahnks
