theres good and bad in all the breeds mentioned here,the gwp and gsp can be hard dogs to train,you say you want a dog that can point aswell as flush so that rules out spaniels labs retreivers dash's terriers and most the other hunting breeds so a brittany,gwp or gsp would be your best bet i dont know how available vizslas are in your neck of the woods but i rate them over any pointers that ive had,they dont mind work point well and are pretty level headed my main bitch lives in my mews loose with my male harris hawk.. brittanys again i dont know how available they are to you,just dont rush any training and take your time with what tever you get.........

there's your best advice yet. and I'll repeat the best advice i think I had for ya. If you go to a breeder let them know what you want the dog for, they'll usually tell you if their dogs have strong hunting lines. good luck
