You don't find this beneath you? That surprises me. Oh well, life is full of little disapointments. Yarak
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away
The main reason I posted was to point out that his hamster could have been saved had it gotten preventative treatment rather than it probably starving and suffering and then getting shot. Even if it's an old thread people notice new posts. I used to raise hamsters. Mine were very nice pets and I enjoyed them.
Birds will starve if their beak gets overgrown. So will rodents if their teeth grow too long. Dogs get nails growing into their pads if they aren't trimmed. In my job I was always appalled when people didn't notice these things before they got really bad.
With Falconry we cannot be blind to our birds. Wild animals hide injuries and pain as much as possible. So yeah I thought it was relevant. Sorry you are disappointed in me...hmmm.

I am sure you have many more worries than a little disapointment from me! Yarak

Kinda like the topic eh. It's a wierd topic even in bordom to post plus the wording of the questions I could have done with out the pole. Having to put down a pet can be hard unless your my mother-in-law I've heard of her puttimg down pets for some the dumbest reasons. Personally no i haven't my parents yes on dog had kidney failure another was just old and sick. A cat once when I was younger. It had desided that the engine block was a warm place to sleep. when Dad left to go to work that morning the cat tried to get past the fan and well you can guess the rest. But no at this point I haven't had to do any thing like that.
