Hello all!
I have not been on this forum since 2014, yikes! Life kept happening I guess and had bad luck with my male Red tail :-(. Gaston passed away due to e-coli around the time of my last post I believe I cannot remember off hand, so much has happened. I have since stopped using chicken neck! The supplier was a free range, organic local farm.
I have been blessed with Jolene for about a year now, maybe more. I lost track. She's absolutely amazing, we just haven't been able to hunt since I got her. My own health issues so far this year have kept us from going, brain tumor and cracked patella. That is about to change though me thinks! The tumor diagnosis was worse than the actual tumor. It's small, but the knee is what has laid me up.
With all that being said, are there any falocners in the NWA area? Or anywhere in AR for that matter? I think there are only about 40 of us in the state. It's lonely up here.. Lol. I'm attempting to recruit as we speak. My boyfriend and at least one of his daughters. Maybe more.
My sponsor is in OK still, and yes, that was allowed! I verified before moving back here. He's about 2+ hours away. I'm still an apprentice, three long years, but with 5+ years of raptor experience. I've done it all, except get my first actually kill with my own bird. Gaston passed away the week before our first hunt. This year, I will get my general! I can feel it!
I'm hoping to be more active on the forum. Life is getting better. I'm gnawing at the bit to get out there!
I attached a pic of Jolene and I. It was taken last night. She tawt she ta a puddy cat.. She did... Almost got a kill right there.. whew.
