I will be starting Falconry in the next couple of years and I am looking for people locally that I can possibly observe them. I've wanted start this sport since I was 16 but could not find the time to start it. After my house is built in the next couple of years I would like to finally start it up. If there is anyone around Kitsap County that would be willing to let me tag along with them over the next few years I would Greatly appreciated, I live in between Keyport and Poulsbo down on the water. Thanks for your time. I will also be attending the picnic in Fall City this year.

Best bet to meet folks is at the picnic, also check out the FB page(s) (one 'official, one 'unofficial', the unofficial gets more views i think, falconers of washington state i think is the name).

Yeah that is what I am hoping for, I know I am already behind the hunting season but would like to observe some of the training side as well during the summer months. I think my biggest issue is going to be finding a sponsor close to my area, seems most Falconer's are on the other side of the water... Hour or two commute for me.

Definitely go to the picnic in July. Also got to the Washington falconers association website I found my sponsor through it. There's usually a pre-apprentice workshop done on the Saturday of the picnic. I know a couple of new apprentices found their sponsor attending that.
You live in a great state with an awesome club. I second what everyone else said, and kudos to you for putting your name out there a good ways in advance. There's a lot to learn and you're giving yourself a good time frame to learn it in. Good luck!
