Ok so being that I got text messages from 2-3 different people and a few posts on here about it, I suppose my last post was a bit out of line. sorry.
Here is the nicer version.
Be patient. People have lives outside of the forum. I'm sure he will get back to you when he's not at work or at school.
Falconry is not something you get into quickly. It takes time, realistically, at least 6 months to get your permit. You will need to find a sponsor. You will need to pass the test. You will need to build facilities and get equipment. All of this takes time. Very few people will sponsor you without you hunting with them first. Hunting season starts in the fall. Realistically, i would not expect to get a bird this season unless it was very early next year, i.e. January. Can it be done faster? Depends on your initiative and how much money you can fork out to build a mew. Most people don't have $1000 laying around to just toss into a facility without some planning.

thanks for the constructive critasizm guys im taking it all in to account, by the way for my first mews it will only cost $350 ive already done all the price checking which leaves me with $150 for the equipment bag which is only $100. and $50 for the artificial turf for the perches
Depends on your state in NY its $20 to register for the test if I remember correctly but that went to your license fee as well when I took it. Dont forget all the other gear you will need, glove, swivels, leash, leather, leather tools, the list is endless. I spent a lot of time before I got my license on Ebay looking for deals on what ever I could find. It pays to look around and to learn to make your own gear as well if you have the means to do it. Good luck have fun!

If you can build a 8x8 facility for $350 I'm impressed. I did built an 8x8 ~5 years ago and I still was in $850.
No need to spend $150 on a bag. You can get a turkey hunting belt with bags on it for ~$25 from Walmart.
As you read more you'll see. I wouldn't buy anything until you've had more time to see what real prices are, not necessarily just want the suppliers want you to pay.

I'm gonna agree with FB on this one. I don't think you fully grasp the money it takes to get started in falconry. My mew ran me close to $800, the weathering area was another $200 and I feel like I got a deal out of it. Heck, I'm looking at over $200 in falconry books on my bookshelf right now. The initial start up is expensive and that's far from your only cost. Food supply, gas for trapping/hunting, leather and leather working tools, hoods, the list goes on and on. I'm not trying to discourage you by any means. You just need to make sure you have an accurate idea of what you're getting into before you get into it.
i built my mews for about $700 but you'll pay that in equipment and some books too. Most books are $50-$100, if you get any change out of $1500 i'd be surprised !

an age group might help with replies also.. 12-17, 18-25, 26 to 30... anything older (and maybe younger) and your asking costs, you might need to look into your own financial stability along with transportation and care of a BOP.

what do you guys suggest I do to impress potential sponsors? It also helps to build a mew when you already have some supplies for a weathering area and 5 close family friends/uncles which are carpenters to help build the mew ( my family comes from a log line of carpenters ), I also have some very "well off" family members who might want to help financialy
