I plan to use Coroplast on the interior of my mews. I've read various opinions about whether or not the interior of the mews should be light or dark. There appears to be no unanimous agreement. To date I've seen only white Coroplast used though. Does anyone have any thoughts on the use of the black Coroplast in a mews?
Thanks,
Cliff.

I wouldn't use either for the mews. But that's me personally. I can see the attraction and Scott has a great setup but when washing it down you run the risk of water getting trapped in the inner ribs of the material and causing bacteria and mold to grow if the edges are not sealed properly. If you have a well ventilated mew then VOC transfer is not going to be an issue. Plus in Texas heat you are going to get that either way regardless of white or black.
Cliff you are correct in that sometimes you need a darker mews especially if you want to keep accipters but a window cover would sort that.
when training a new bird i don't actually put my bird in the mews for at least 6 months and i wouldn't put it in the weathering area either for at least 3 months. Keep it calm and in the GH until you are hunting regularly that will avoid any batting issues.
