Do I understand correctly that permits are not required for non-native species (example: Saker Falcon)?
If so, is this just for possession? Can we fly and hunt these birds without a permit? Can we breed them without a permit? Can they be used for abatement without a permit?
Not looking to get my case jumped here, just a lil confused and seeking clarification.
Non-navite species can be kept without a falconry license. As far as the feds are concerned it is no different than a parrot. If you want to hunt the bird you would need to place it on a falconry permit. This is where the catch is. The class of your permit must allow a bird of this type.
