Ok, since you are new to this, i am going to spare you some greif that others might not.
try not to let the bird set on bare metal too much. it could wind up with Bumble foot, which could render the bird usless to you and unreleaseable, i am talking about the bed frame he is on showing the back and tail. in fact that bed frame needs to go. that bird can get tangled really bad in the springs and die. the perch with the rope is fine, but you need to have the rope covering the silver part also.
i like the jess' you have on the bird, better than the rope you had before.
this bird seems aweful tame, how long have you had it, since it was a baby? i dont see a leash on this bird while it is on the bed frame.
other than that, looks like the bird is doing well. keep reading up on falconry bird managment, then get that bird hunting.
I am almost positive that it is a Long-legged Buzzard (Buteo rufinus). They have many different color forms. They tend to have a red coloration hence its name (Buteo rufinus). Rufinus means red.
