Just getting started in falconry.I,ve been told the best way to do this is to find a falconry club and attend meetings and meet people involved in the sport.I live in Orlando The closest one I found on the web is F-H-F and is 2 hours away. I would be willing to drive that far if I could find nothing closer. but as one of the goals is finding a sponsor closer would be better. Any help would be appreciated

I'm moving to New York state from Europe. I've been a falconer in Europe since 2004, but really need to find sponsorship in the state of NY. The New York State Falconers' Association web site has a list of email contacts and NONE OF THEM WORK. They say "undeliverable". is there actually a NY Falconers' Association? And if so, why are they not interested in taking on apprentices? Anyone in New York, PLEASE come forward
I'm from NY and welcome. Yes, The NYS Falconers have a club and we are in the process of getting our website back up and running. If you want to e-mail me privetly I maybe can give you some names to contact depending on where in NY your going to live.

Hello, I live in New York and have recently seriously started thinking about taking up falconry. I ordered the guide and examination book from the NYSDEC to try and get a little more information and maybe an idea were I should go next. I found the New York Falconry Association web page (I believe) but do not know A) Where they are located and B) How to contact them. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I live in upstate new york if that helps! (not the city...)

HI XXCONNERYXX, IM AN UPSTATER TOO AND ALSO AM INTERESTED IN FALCONAY. MAY BE IF WE ARE NEAR EACH OTHER WE COULD HELP EACH OTHER. I AM LOOKING FOR FALCONERS TO WATCH AND LEARN FROM. HAVE YOU FOUND ANY? I AM IN THE COOPERSTOWN AREA. WOULD YOU MIND TELLING ME WHERE YOU ARE?
If you are really interested in the NYSFA stuff, the meet is happening in Cobleskill NY, November 5 and 6th this year. I don't really know if there's a 'headquarters' office, but the folks in-charge are at the meet and can be asked questions.

Hi My name is Charles and I live in upstate New York, outside of Syracuse. I have become very interested in falconry and I would love to gather some more information on it. I have gone and scavenged the internet for anything remotely falconry related. I have read tons of material on it and I am still interested. I was wondering if there were any websites you could recommend or books that I could read that would help me further gain knowledge. I have looked for clubs in my area and I can not find any. I have read there is a meet in Cobleskill NY. I was also hoping I could get some more information on that as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
