So it seems as if I am having problems all the time when in reality Autumn is doing well...just having some issues with her mutes. After her bloody mute ordeal last week the vet said it looked as if she had broken a blood vessel or something near the opening of her vent....
Well everything got better and then two days ago she started to have runny mutes. Its not gone away. The color ranges any where from brown normal fecal coloring to a yellowish brown or even a very dark green. So what does this mean? She is still acting normal, eating as much as she can and is drinking water like normal and not at an unusually long pace and not drinking more often than normal.
I worked her on the creance the other day and she is about 300 grams over...but I wanted her to stretch her wings. She came without problems at about 50-60 feet but I noticed that she was out of breath after about the fifth run, but nothing with her mouth open just a bit of heavy panting but without the mouth open. I assume its because she is very over hunting weight.
She still bounces around her mews like normal. So can she possible just have a "cold" seeing as we have had a ton of rain with weather in the mid 70's and then dropping into the low 20's and its still really wet outside. Or is it maybe because she ate alot of protein in her food (I fed her a whole chukar over the course of three days and she had chicks yesterday, which I know DOC are not high in protein). Anyways maybe I am just freaking out, seeing as I lost my first bird and dont want to lose this one. She is molting and seems normal...can they just get "diarrhea" for a few days or is there something maybe wrong?
*Sorry for the long novel*
