And... nothing's perfect. Ya still gotta check equipment like always.
not me I make everything perfect I am the smartest man alive just ask me I'll tell ya LOL.
now for the pallet thing I guess it will take out the need for 2X4s but still dont like the idea myself. kind of looks like trying to save a penny to spend a dollar from my way of thinking. also some of those pallets are treated with creasod (dont know if that is spelled right) which is bad for humans but would be worse for the bird. just my 2 cents
... He is sloooowwwwllllyyy starting to see the methods behind my way of thinking.
Bat those eyelashes, girl. And add a few of these Tee hee.
there is also throw a lil leg on him and stop soon as he gets hot and bothered. tell him we will finish after the mew is built. I guarantee the mew should be built in 3 hrs flat and that is without materials to start with. if you want to be nice you will have the materials there befor hand. nothing stops a young man on a mission LOL.
Drawbacks... it can be a pain to take off if the bird's a bater - the jesses and extender leather cinch tight. So, I make my extender from a different type of leather (latigo) and keep everything oiled to make it easier to pull apart. And... nothing's perfect. Ya still gotta check equipment like always.
That's why I tether with all braided jesses/extender/leash. They're so much easier to pull apart after a full day of weathering. One day last week I was putting Gila on her living room perch for the day but had left my leash with the extender out in the truck. I had a leash with just the swivel right there so I hooked her up and left. When I came home she was so twisted up she was almost crosslegged!!! (she does alot of turning around on her perch without bating) The first and LAST time I'll do that. Extenders are the way to go.

And I'm the smartest woman. My husband will tell you (he better!). Tee hee.

Which makes it real difficult to seal with paint. The oil bleeds through. The coal tar creosote has phenols and cresoles in it - both very toxic (phenols especially). Handle with care.
