The other day I was looking through a past Hawk Chalk and found a hood pattern by Gaylen Gerrish. It is basically a variation of the Slijper's Canon hood. Anyways it looked like an easy one to create an application to generating the patterns so I opened up Visual Basic and had a go at it. If anyone is interested you can download a copy of it here. There are a few things you need to know about running this program
1) It is written in Visual Basic 6 and therefore it requires the VB runtime files be installed on your machine in order to run. Most machines with WinXP or later will have these preinstalled. If you try running the program and get an error opening it then you probably don’t have the runtime files installed. You can download those from Microsoft at this link. VB6 runtime files
2)Since this is written in Visual Basic it won’t run on a Mac.
I haven’t tried making a hood from the pattern so if anyone does I would love to see how they turn out.
