Mk sounds like a plan. What material is used for the floor? Guessing cat litter is out of the question. I'm at the THA meet right now, so I'll tell you when I get back. The shed has good insulation so I don't think I would need to run it all that long. But letting in cold wind would be hell.

If you're at the meet surrounded by all those experienced falconers why are you asking questions here?? You should be asking them!!!!
So, I've learned a lot more over the months, and would gravel work for the ground? You could probably wash mutes off for the most part, but not sure. Starting to wonder if this would be good for a RT, but I'm starting to doubt it. Maybe I should just build one at the other house, where I have a larger backyard. It would also let me make it more hawk-specific.
the rounded pea gravel is best, unless you're gonna tether the bird on it... then you'll want to lay something over it that won't dull talons while bating like astroturf, rubber/plastic mats, etc...
