It was more a discussion on where falconers should draw the line on judging other falconers' decisions in their falconry.
If one knowingly/intentionally causes harm to their birds or the sport, that's the judgment line for me.
So rather than keep defending myself, I just deleted my comments.
I went looking for the intro post to this thread, but couldn't find it. I blamed my poor navigation skills or a senior moment. I'm relieved to hear it wasn't either.
Last week, we had huge storms roar through - one storm dumped 4 to 6 inches in 2 hours. Major flooding, and there's still standing water everywhere days later - despite the heat. Perfect conditions for Culex breeding. After a five-minute walk outside yesterday, I'm covered with skeeter bites. First reports of infected birds in Rockford two weeks ago.
The monsoons are here in New Mexico. Every day we get a passing storm with a little rain. Today it rained for about 15 minutes. In the last couple of weeks it has rained enough to lift all the restrictions on open fires in this area. Every thing is turning nice and green. this last from July through August every year. Just absolutely perfect so far.
