Hello everyone,
I am a licensed first year apprentice. I am considering moving about twenty miles away. I will still be in Florida. Does anyone know if I will need another inspection? My facilities will be brand new so I imagine so. I'm not really concerned with another inspection other than the possibility of a long road of paperwork. I do not currently have a bird, but I want everything to be in order BEFORE September 15th (the first day of Florida's trapping season.) Would it be like starting from scratch, other than the test? Has anyone had a similar experience?
Your best bet is to call Mrs. Boatright at the Tallahasse office. She will be able to give you a answer. From what I've heard you will need need to get another inspection. Oh... and just to let you know. If you buy a out of state license you can start trapping in Georgia the 1st of September.-Zach

I used to think i knew some things. But i'm not so sure anymore.
I buy a full year which is like 75bucks cause, I go up there a lot. I think the 1day hunting license is like 12bucks and can be bought on the internet.

Zach,
Thanks for the info. I found the Georgia DNR website. It does have an option for online purchase. The three day license is probably the best bet. I would hate to buy the one day license and not trap a bird. At least with the three day, I would have a better chance.
Tom If your going to spend 30bucks I would just do the full season. I have seen people get lucky thier first day up there but more than likely it takes a few days or weekends. Even though the season opens there isn't a large population of birds around here at that time. It all depends on how many fronts we get blowing down from the north.

Good point. Judging from how many unsuccessful trapping trips my sponsor and I had here in Florida last year, I definately need the full season permit.
