Thanks! It's 11x14 oil on canvas, took about 3.5 hours. got a Kestrel coming next, its almost done, then I don't know what I'm gonna do either Harris or Gos. I look at pictures of real birds off the internet and books to practice.

I do the same thing - I find bargain books at Borders or Barns and Nobles. There are some great cheap books for references.
There are some good books by Floyd Scholz who carves birds and therefor the images and descriptions are very detailed. I learned a lot from his book Birds of Prey. Worth the $50.00+-
