Our state meet will be held at the Mongomery Bell State Park feb 17-19 in White Bluff TN.
Rooms available at the Montgomery bell state park Inn. That would be a great weekend to meet 25-50 falconers from around the US , go out on multiple hunts, and really et a feel for the sport.
Do we need to register for the meet? I didn't see any information posted on the TN falconers association page.

I too am looking for some more information or an itinerary. I have an appointment on Saturday evening, but I might make the trip Friday till the afternoon.
There are no iteneraries. Aside from the info I already gave. We will all meet up as folks come in to town, get in groups and go hawking all day for 3 days. There are already 50+ people booked to come in for the meet and the only itenerary is to group up and go kill squirrels. I am not an organizer for this event.
It's possible that all slots are booked for this event. The room bookings filled up fast before Christmas. You may want to ask the folks on the TFA page if it's still open for guest .

Hi all! I am extremely new to falconry. Ive never heard of it until recently. A friend of mine has been a fan of falconry since he was a child. I've looked through this thread to see if there was anyone in or near Memphis that would be interested in meeting up with us to talk about classes and apprenticing, but the thread goes back quite a few years and I'm not sure of who or where would be a current contact for the Memphis area. He wants so very badly to get started and I'm very interested as well, but the wildlife website for TN is not very good with info on current apprentices. We've tried contacting, but no luck. Is there anyone in or around Memphis that could contact me to discuss? I would so appreciate it!! Thank you!!

Hi Rene, a quick search her turned this up:
"The TN Falconers website will be shut down indefinitely until further notice. Anyone wanting to contact Us is welcome to join the conversation on Facebook at the TN Falconers Assoc. page. Send the admins a private message describing yourself and your interest in Falconry along with your request to join the page, after first contacting the TWRA for your free falconry packet from the state."
That was posted in April of last year by echotadog. So if you are on facebook, I would join that group. If you are not on facebook, send echotadog a PM here & I am sure he can put you in touch with the right people.
If you are seriously interested in falconry, you should consider joing both your local/state club & North American Falconer's Association. Doing so will give you access to all their members.
There aren't many if any falconers in the Memphis area. Middle and east TN have the highest concentration of us. Contact the TWRA and request a falconry packet, there should be a list of 3-4 falconers in it to contact. Familiarize yourself with the packet, rules and regs and then attempt to contact one of the names given. Good luck.

I introduced myself in the New Member Forum but being in TN figured I would reach out here as well. I am located in middle TN (Smyrna/Murfreesboro area) in the county. I have passed my test and would like to continue my journey. Seems its gonna be a tough time right now with the timeframe we are in but wanted to go ahead and reach out. I have gathered it is not a good idea to start my MEWS until I have a sponsor as the individual may have set requirements fro that as well. Well Hello and hope to talk more soon
The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.
Apparently, Tennessee is the place to be a falconer right now! You guys are gonna have your hands full, echo!
As has been stated above, make sure you find the Tennessee Falconers Association on FB. That should be a good way for you to meet folks. Welcome to the forum!
Im in Tennessee also, and am wondering where to get started.i ordered the book on it
Where in TN?
Tell us a little about yourself, how you came to find an interest in falconry... are you currently an avid outdoors person, do you hunt or fish? And welcome to the forum.

I’m looking for a master falconer in the Knoxville area, This is something I’ve been interested in for a while but I want to actually talk to somebody to get more information
Manchester Tennessee looking for tips and a little guidance
Welcome , You can start by digging through the hundreds of past threads on here for ideas about books to read, regional quarry, and TN state specific info. I saw your intro post on The FB Page, it will be a more current way to contact TN falconers and be present in the conversations.
