Just getting into falconry, learning, reading, studing, making sure that this is something that I would like to dedicate alot of my time to. You know the drill, but I'd also like to get to know some of the people from my state and hear what they have to say....
Arid-zona. I take you're trying to imply that it's dry there. Glad to hear from ya and this is a great place to get to know people and make contacts withn the world of falconry. This is one of my favorite places on the net. Not often that I can talk falconry with people who have as much and more info on the sport that I do. Here is on spot that I can. Don't think that I'm trying to brag in my opinion I don't know much about falconry, and I have good contacts here in British Columbia I just don't have the contact with them I would like. I've got to phone make apointments to meet with them. It's all prep where as here I log on post PM home ever is online if I'm in the mood, it's great here. I hope you enjoy it as much as I. I used to have more time but work scheduels have changed and I seem to have less time during the week. But I get on line when I can . Ok I'll get off of here now. Takew care welcome aboard and hope you fine as many new freinds as I have. Chris.
wheew, just flew in for a quick visit, yeah, getting good contacts is a pain..especially here..most people involved in this sport live out of my way....like on the other end of the valley. Then I discovered that the closest people are 'pet-keepers' and, I don't really want to get involved with them....
I have to drive over two hours to my sponsors home. But it's worth it. Your not the only one with that problem. Only the trully lucky ones have master falconers nearby.
As I am new to this sport and currently in the same boat as Reina, looking to make contacts in phoenix, I thought I'd give this post a bump and see what anyone's heard about falconry in AZ.
I'm in the Goodyear Avondale area also!! drop me a line sometime I'd love to talk to you about your hunting and day to day experiances. I am just doing the inital research to get into the sport, that way when the time comes to catch my passage rt I'll be all set. Anyway, again drop me a line and maybe we can grab a beer (I'll buy!!). paul.roe@gmail.com
I'm from Prescott. We just had our annual club meet last saturday, the 4th. Awesome time in Kingman to meet people and learn new things. Check out our website, www.azfalconersassoc.org My sponser is Randy Hale. In my opinion, (and others) he is the best falconer in AZ. He is apart of AZ Falconers Associaton. Send me a pm if you would like answers to some questions. I cannot sponser because I am a second year apprentice. Hope this was helpful!! Good luck!!!
Ya I only heard about the annual meet a few days before it was scheduled and though I tried I couldn't reschedule some pressing appointments for a later date. Well I'll definatly try to go next year though.
