I personally don't know any falconers in KC, but I know there are some. I would contact the Missouri Falconer's Association. Send them an email and they can get you in contact with some of their members, and past members listed in your area. I would also go ahead and call Missouri Department of Conservation and get your falconry info packet. That will give you a better idea of all that you need to do to get ready. There are several Missouri Falconer's on this site, I am sure you will start to make those initial contacts! Good Luck

Tanya, where exactly do you live? I live in Nevada, MO which is about an hour and a half away from Springfield...directly an hour north of Joplin and about an hour and a half south of KC. Let me know, you can pm me if thats better for you...it does not matter to me. I've got a female red-tailed hawk and a female imprint kestrel.
After bringing my parents to the annual meet in St. Louis, I think I may have turned them on to the idea of falconry a little! I don't think I'll have a problem with getting their support, woo! Also Meagan I think my mom fell in love with your little kestrel, haha.

Hello everybody! My name is Chris! I live in Lees Summit and to my knowledge there are no falconers in the surrounding area of Kansas City, if I cannot find a sponsor close what are my options for apprenticing? Any and all advice is more than appreciated! Thanks again!
