I LOVE SAN DIEGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i used to live there THere was a pair of RTs that sparked my interest in falconry. last year i checked while i was there on vacation, still there after about 15 years. same nest and all
yeah i saw a RT in alpine the other day. caryying rabbit meat up to the top of a telephone pole. That's one of the reasons why I want a RT for my first bird now.
When the world is chaos, and all hell breaks loose, it's how you depict a painting, feel a song, and take to heart the words of a poem.
You mess with your bird, and it will mess with you.
Welcome aboard the board ( I did write that didn't I{shakes head in shame}) Anyway Hope you enjoy your self here and most of the guys here are harmless enough. A lot of talk lots of smoke and watch out for the mirrors. Chris.
cool. We have probably 3 breeding pairs in alpine, I would guess. No falconers, but there is a huge field about 20 sq acres, that has a lot of game, i think I was a kestrel or merlin there about 2 weeks ago.

My name's Lacey, I'm 18, I live in the San Diego area (El Cajon), and know almost nothing about birds. I was interested in Falconry after my best friend (who happens to be starburst89) got into it. I'm currently in Missouri on 30 acres visiting my parents. There are a ton of birds here, and a pair of bald eagles that nest over at a friends place. I'm more interested in the photography part of it right now as I don't have enough room for a bird back home. (and I live within an hour of Alpine)
Oceanside, California (its about 40 miles north of Down Town San Diego. )
HUGE canyon on the other side of the fence to my back yard as well as a HUGE regional park across the street with 2 lakes.
I do believe I have it made. Now I'll I need is my license and bird!

Walnut Creek, CA I'm looking to do my senior project on falconry and would like to tallk with a falconer to learn more about it. please email me fellow northern californians at ryans2288@yahoo.com, sorry i didnt respond last time. I need a mentor, not necessarily someone with a general or masters license, any help would be appreciated.
Hey all. I'm in Helendale which is in the High Desert. San Bernardino CA. 30 miles from Barstow. I haven''t a clue as to where to go to find a mentor in my area. Does someone by chance have an idea?
Cirstin, you are about 60 miles from me. I live down the 15 freeway in Norco. We do most of our flying at Baseline and Cherry in Fontana. You can always find falconers out there on the weekend.
