Brett Corlew. I live in a small town 15 miles SE of Fresno, CA. called Sanger. It's close to the mountains, close to wildlife, and I've got a nesting PAIR of RT's right accross the street!! Been wanting to dive into falconry since I was a young'n, but have only recently looked into the details... unfortunately, I don't think there's a licenced falconer for 100 miles out here... they're all down in Palm Springs... So, I'll keep on gathering info (there's bunches on here... THX!!) and some day hopefully, I'll actually meet a falconer! That'll be Jan. 14, '09. CHC meet in Bakersfield... CAN'T WAIT!!

My names Joe and I'm new to falconry and hoping to gain further knowledge from the experience that everyone else has experienced. I currently live in Blaine, Minnesota and am wondering if there are any more falconers within the metro area that wouldn't mind having me over, to ask question and view their setups. I have been reading alot of books, but for some reason that can only take you so far. If any one wouldnt mind taking the time, I would appreciate it alot.
Im Nathan Glasgow and im from Grand, Prairie, Texas right next to Dallas, Texas and im also 15yrs old. Ive been intresed in falconry for a couple of years already. Ive been studying for quite a while now, but im gonna study until april or may when ill take my exam. I see many kestrels, RTs, Harriers. & Coopers around here. I once saw a pair of harrises near the Hurst, Texas area. When i went to spend the summer in the brittish virgin islands with my dads side of the family thats lives there, the island was full of kestrels!!! Im mean like every 5 telephone poles you'll see a kestrel,( and the poles where quite close to each other).
Thats interesting that there were many kestrels in th VI in the summer. I would have suspected winter time migrants more. There must be a substantial residant population there. Like Some of the bigger Bahamian Islands. On Andros Island they have a little residant kestrel that is almost pure white on the front in both sexes.

Hi! I'm Kim from Bossier City, Louisiana but my sponsor and I are with the Arkansa Hawking Assoc. I'm a 1st year apprentice and I caught my RT very late in the season so we're still training on creance and won't hunt this season. His name is Roka and he's been a great bird since day 1. I can't wait to see how he preforms next season.
