Whats all this hawk talk FF? What Happened to the merlin idea?
I know, I know. I had a revelation a couple weeks ago, that my prey base close to my house is pigeons, doves, starlings, and these weird tiny cottontails. I want a hefty female that I can train on cottontails.

This makes sense. Flying a bird that can be flown close to home. with the price of gas who can blame you.

Even if you do not find a bag, you will not have trouble getting your boy on bunnies. I have yet to see a RT refuse a tasty bunny. If he is ready to fly, take him to one of the bunny fields.
Hey Guys My name is Miles. I just moved from CA to CO with my fiance to get out of the hectic environment orange county and LA have come too with the economy and everything making it worse then it already is. I have always been into Falconry but never been in a great place for it till I moved here to Thornton CO just north of Denver. I live in apartment for now but plan on getting a house in about 5 months. I figure I wont be able to do much till then. I have been reading up on Falconry intensively for the past couple weeks now and I have to say I cant keep my mind off it. I use to have chameleons which can be very hard to even keep alive and in the same way I was obsessed with them till I had to go away to college. I am already sure that Falconry is the perfect sport for me. I have always loved birds and hunting yet never have actually got to hunt my self. In the same sense I feel that having a falcon and training it to do the work makes it a hundred times more interesting and keeps you on your tows then would be to just go hunt with a gun. I love a challenge and hope to meet some great people in the area to hopefully get involved with in this sport. I just ordered the study manual to take the test and will hopefully find someone to take me in as an apprentice, I have a feeling that will be the hardest thing to do. Well please any buddy in the area to help me get involved I would be greatly appreciative. I know we have a little bit till the season opens up so I would like to get ahead of the game
Desperate to become an apprentice very soon! Any buddy in the Denver CO area I would love to connect with and maybe a little guidance as I head it the direction as a Falconer
