I think that is the Maryland Falconer's Association website, and if it is, no, they no longer exist to my knowledge. The MD state DNR site has a list of sponsors with contact information.

I am a Maryland Falconer, here in Frederick County. Looking to do some ridge trapping for a possible Gos. If your a falconer who has a good trapping spot or someone that knows of or has property I could potentially setup a bownet preferably off south mountain, please PM me.

Hello all. I live in Howard County and am very interested in falconry and have been for years. I moved here a little over a year ago and figured what better time than now to start. Before I get too far ahead of myself I wanted to make sure I could indeed keep a raptor in howard county if I had a permit. I cannot seem to find if there are any zoning regulations. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I lived in Columbia for a number of years. My biggest hurdle was getting the Columbia Association to allow me to build my facilities. Basically they said if I got a permit they would allow me to build. The problem there was you couldn't get a permit without the facilities. In the end I got the Columbia Association to sign an agreement stating that they would approve my planned facilities if I got a permit. With that I went in stealth mode and built something temporary that allowed me to pass my inspection. As soon as the inspection was complete I took the temp facilities down and waited on my permit. When I finally had my permit in hand I walked back in to have the Columbia Association approve my building plans. They tried digging in their heels saying that my facilities we not within the guideline of the ordnance. That is when I pulled out the signed agreement that showed they had already given me a provisional approval. It helped that I had paperwork showing that my neighbors have seen my plans for what I was going to build and they all signed off with their approval.
I'm looking to get into Falconry. I am located northern Baltimore County/Southern Harford County. If there is anyone in that area who wouldn't mind sharing some knowledge please let me know. I would be grateful. I am very intrigued to meet a Falconer and experience it first hand. Thanks.
Should be a good number of falconers around there, although the hunting season has ended. Have you checked out the state's list of sponsors? It's on their website.

Hey Falcon Boy,
Yes, I have. I even requested the info packet from DNR. Pretty well versed on the pre-apprentice materials. They provide you with a name phone number and a means to contact someone for being a sponsor. I was hoping to get more of a first hand perspective on the sport before I tried to line up a sponsor. I realize those individuals are well versed and a great resource for that, but I thought I would try here first before cold calling people. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
No sweat. That's understandable but I don't think there is anyone on here in MD anymore who visits the board regularly (if they do, they don't post). The list might be a good place to start, if nothing else they can probably hook you up for the info about the summer picnic. If i remember right, its usually in July (i think) at Rocky Gap state park (i think that's what its called). Sorry its been quite a few years since i lived there....

Thanks. I appreciate it. I noticed you lived in MD back when you first started the forum and now I believe you reside in Washington. The list has Floyd Presley's contact information which I believe you previously mention was affiliated with the Potomac Falconers Association. He may be a good person to reach out to for assistance with the picnic. I hopefully will be in contact with someone soon and possibly, if things go well, will be able to participate this season. If you still chat with any old contacts from MD, I would be much obliged for any assistance you could provide. Thanks, Stephen

Yes I grew up in MD and flew birds there for a few years. To be honest I don't keep in touch with people there anymore, I'm really crappy about keeping in touch with folks (ironic...since I run a forum). I'm moving back east this summer for work (Ohio) and may try and get in touch with a few folks later in the year, but MD is still quite a drive from Ohio for a hawking meet. Floyd would probably be a good person to talk to, pretty sure he used to be part of the PFA and he can probably point you in the right direction.

Thank you both for the help! My brother lived in Dayton for a few years. The 8-9 hour drive would make it a long trip for meets. I think PA has a pretty active falconry association especially in the west there in the mountains. I'll try and reach out to those people. Hopefully, good results will come and I'll be soliciting advice about training and care in the future. In the mean time, good luck with the upcoming move!

PA and VA both used to have pretty active clubs. Rumor has it there are 2 PA clubs now. Look into the PA falconry and hawk trust, they're the one I'm familiar with.
