Na....just like 6 months ago had 50 shipped to me, and I picked them up at the nearest pos office.....you order them, select a shipping date, and wait for them, then the post office gives you a call and you go pick them up
You can usually find them cheaper at closer hatcheries. Do a search and you will find a few. I buy all my ducks and geese from Metzer Farms in Cali and Ideal Hatchery in Texas for chickens. They generally have better shipping to Utah.
As for killing them, in reptiles we use C02. Just a chunk of dry ice will do it.
I just order from RodentPro and they deliver them directly to me. They come to Columbus, Ohio once a month for a reptile show. Thus, I just meet them out front in the morning and they have everything already boxed up. I get the internet pricing and don't have to pay shipping. I actually order for other Ohio falconers and hold their orders for them. Unfortunately, with GRIM's success this year, I'm quickly running out of freezer space. -Joe
The ones in the original post are not Day Old Chicks.......fully feathered birds smaller than Cornish game hens.....I'd prefer DOC's...
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines "Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day; give him a religion................ and he'll starve to death while praying for a fish."
Here in Southern California we used to get all our DCO's from Highland Hatchry out behind Lake Perris. They used to sell them for 20 cents a piece a;ready killed. Now they sell them alive for somewhere around 25 cents each and you have to kill them yourself.
