No No. I keep all of my species of birds seperate. My pigeons will be fine. Actually after my quail had been in there loft for like three days they started construction on the other side of the fence. It just so happened that a board fell from a two story house across on to my side of the fence and hit the corner of the loft that was just small enough for a coon to squeez through. Actually I have no idea how he got that huge of a massive body through the little hole but he did. My neighbor said that he would be glad to pay for some new quail. Since then I have patched the hole in the wire and checked the rest of my ficilities and they all look like they need a cleaning but other than that there was no more damage. Nothing like this has ever happened before because I new of the problem it presents. And no Ooby my mew isn't built any better than my lofts. It is a nice well covered mew with no where for anything to get in. Its a solid shed with a bolted lock sealed corners and the works so don't judge.

Well I now have a line on soe domestic Bobwhite quail (if you can call them that) Actually I know of several places I can get bobwhites just not that many in Canada. I have also learned that in BC I'm suposed to have a permit for the Bobwhites, pheasent, and wild turkeys that can be easily purchased from breeders but the DFW doesn't enforce those only the falconry sees any enforcement. Doesn't that beat all. Anyway the only problem with te Bobwhites is that they are coming fromAlberta and it will cost almost double to ship them as it will to buy them. But I want the quail so I'll have to pay to play.
Well actually here you need a permit for all wild animals and we have a wild poplation of bobwhite quail, chukar partridge, ring neck pheasant and now wild turkeys. Thus should have a permit they just don't enforce those.
I have an incubator that i can hold about eighty eggs at a time i was wondering if i started hatching quail to sell would there be any demand from the falconers on this forum and if so what size are you looking for
not unless you can get em to me frozen solid for under a buck apiece, and even then im not sure because my quail breeder raises really healthy meaty birds.
