Bred the one of my bunnies yesterday, I can't tell if they did anything but they seem friedly and look like they hit it off

Well when the buck is successfully done he falls off her back...
Never settle.

It isn't a good idea to leave the doe in the bucks cage unattended or for longer than 30 minutes. If they don't mate within the first 30 it is normally unlikely they will later. I mean I know some people who do leave but they come back within an hour to pull the doe out. I'd becareful with leaving the doe unattended for too much longer than an hour. Did anything come from it though?
Never settle.

10 days after breeding is when you usually palpate the doe.
Happier of happy though I be, like them I cannot take possession of the sky, mount with a thoughtless impulse, and wheel there, one of a mighty multitude whose way and motion is a harmony and dance magnificent. - William Wordsworth
my white satin I know did it they were done in ten minutes. I doubt my chinch did it I couldn't feel when I palpated... though I am not very good at it. Jelly, I belieave it is not reccomended to leave them in for more one hours but some people leave them in over night as they are noctural.

No, it's not recommended to leave rabbits together unattended to breed. Many of the does are very aggressive and will kill the buck given the chance. Aside from that, i've had a couple friends that are rabbit breeders have their doe uh...shall we say gave the buck an unfriendly amputaion? So much for breeding that buck any more...
Usually if the rabbits dont do anything after about 10mins, the doe isnt ready and wont be ready, try again in a couple days.
If you palpate the doe now, you should be able to feel lumps about the size of very large grapes. Dont forget you need to put the nest box in in just a couple days. You're supposed to put it in the cage day 28. If your doe is pregnant you'll have kits in just a few days. Good Luck

I put the nest into the nestbox and the 4 bunnies still among the living are doing ok, although I havn't seen them nurse how long can they live without nursing? should I try and put them on her nipples?

Any update? Being your first time breeding you are bound to have a few mistakes. Just as long as you learn from them. You are doing fine.
Never settle.
