never had that happen i have enough to rotate them out so they only get used once a week each. still trying to establish a big enough colony to support my bird(s) I'd need to be able to feed 3 adults a day.

yeah i breed my own too. in alaska i had a rodent breeding buisness. i ran two hundred and seventy five cages. i used freedom breeder for my cages. i was producing almost 3000 babies a month. i sold the system to someone before i moved to colorado so i am using aquariams for now. gerbils and russian dwarf hamsters are the best as far as good eats.

build a drawer system with concrete mixing tubs. thats what i am getting ready to do. have them slide into a system with screen tops. you can use lixit bottles or a gravity system for water and place food in by your self every day enless you want to make a hopper for food. i am getting ready to make a 20 cage set up.
