"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? -Marianne Williamson
i plan on training my MRT on crows come this fall. i will be using a dead crow with a line attached to it, and then i plan on putting it on a clay pigeon thrower and letting it go. once the RT makes contact i will pull the line for a bit to simulate a real crow exsperience. i hope to do some carhawking with the RT once he is locked in on crows. does this training idea sound like it will work?
ok i want a little more on this topic. after squirrel season and before the moult this would be great. how would you go about entering the RT on crows. i have a lightning fast pmrt. very tenacious. and im not refering to only carhawking but just getting him to hit crows in general and if he is succesful with that maybe advance to carhawking. Thanks.

First, check your State hunting regulations for a crow season. As crazy as it sounds, crows are a protected species under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (amended in 1972 include crows). However, 50 CFR Chapter 1 20.1 allows states to establish regulations for crow hunting. One of the federal restrictions prohibits hunting them during the peak crow nesting period within a State. You need to find out when that is.
"No, just shot one and froze it in a standing up position. Once it's frozen, drill a hole in the chest and stick something in it to prop it up. Get your bird to grab it. Once it does, reward it with something tasty like a quail or rabbit. It will pick up on it quick." -thebooster99, YouTube
