Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines "Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day; give him a religion................ and he'll starve to death while praying for a fish."
It's a long way from Missouri to South Dakota, but the pheasant hunting there is well worth the trip! I can't wait go with my Goshawk instead of my o/u. That's a few years away, but that's my plan!;D
Personally I realy look forward to hunting pheasent with my bird (Gos) when I am experienced enough. But for now it looks like rabbit and Jacks for me.

Coopers are supposed to be pretty good on 'em as well as a male Harris.
That is if you can get the harris to chase the quail instead of the d@mn chipmunks...My friend who has a harris, has been hunting with his harriss for the past few weeks and it wont even chase the quail even though there are hundreds (seriously) by his house. It only chases chipmunks. They are getting scarse around there. Soon when it snows the hawk will have no choice so i guess its only a matter of time. He got a few baggies to try on his harris so he should start to chase quail soon anyway!
