Can you tell what age a BOP is? Without written down evidence of its past in the case of captive bred birds is there a test or way of telling in either captive or passive caught birds?

thats the best you can do, especially a passage. you do know that it was born this year but a date you will never know. just study the season that babies are born and make up your own if you want to have a birthday party for your bird. lol.. that would be kind of funny.
Harrishawker I belive is from the U.K. It is probabaly a captive bred Harris with no band. I'm not sure if it is a requirement over there to have bands. If that is the case and no records have been kept by previous owners then I think it is almost immpossible to get a correct age on the bird.
I used to think i knew some things. But i'm not so sure anymore.

But what Physical Actions and Looks could Possibly give you an idea?
My mates FHH is 17 and her feathers are a kind of Smokey Brown instead of a brighter one. Plus when she bates she pants when she gets up on the Fist and she is not that un-fit.
I know there are no medical tests that can determine but there must be signs.
