I remember there being a thread on this but i can't find it.
Okays so i was looking at nina's cere today and it looked a little bumpy... I remember that someone had a similar situation and I was wondering if I should worry...
Not really it's due to being a little dehydrated. It is fairly normal for a new bird in training due to having to bring them down in weight so much. Offer her some water, train her to drink some from a squirt bottle, or just saturate her food with water. Have you dewormed her in the last week? That may of dehydrated her a little more but just keep a eye on her. It shouldn't become a problem.-Zach
I used to think i knew some things. But i'm not so sure anymore.
okay that's what i thought it was, so i went and got the spray bottle, fed her some water and misted her down before i posted this.
She's known how to drink water from a squirt bottle since day one, i'll just keep and eye on it, and i'll add a spray-bath to the end of every training session for a bit. Thanks T78
yeah in CA its not to much of a problem... and it was still light before i gave it to her, and i checked her before i left for dinner at my dads house and she was dry and one leg was tucked up

do keep an eye on that. the same thing happened to me and it ended up being avian pox. it took about 3 months to get over it. soon it was on his feet as well. the scars on the feet are gone now but the scars on the cere are still there not to mention the portion of the beak that it ate away. that may take another year to go away. just remember that if it does scab do not tear it off. let it be. just keep it clean with an iodine solution and let it run its corse. just in case that is it, ill keep my fingers crossed for ya.
