as some of you know last fall my PMHH got a large cut on his leg about 1 1-4" long down to the bone a little after we got him back home. the reasons for the cut I wont discuss because I don't want to bad mouth certain people. but I had been working on this injury for a long while and it was getting better a liiiitttle at a time. I was still flying him and he was doing very well. so march came and the cut was still just under a inch long. I had been using the old clean disinfect triple antibiotic ointment and bandage method that I have used before and the vet recommended. well I just happened to be talking to Sandy with the Adobe Mountain Rehab and she looked at what I was working with. as well as told me that she had exactly the thing I needed for the injury. she is using it allot rehabbing birds and other animals at her facility. so she pulled out this stuff called Manuka Honey. I initially thought what could this do that other things wont but what can it hurt to try it. so I took some of it home started treating it just like she said. clean and disinfect the wound dab a little of the Honey on the wound and wrap it with a little vet wrap. the next thing to do is every other day pull off the old vet wrap and just apply some more honey on top of the old honey and re-wrap it with vet wrap. after only 6 weeks the wound that wasn't healing after 5 months was all healed up. now the scales still haven't grown back but they may never grow back. I would recommend any to any one to get some of this stuff it truly is a miracle cure. its a all natural way to cure cuts and works faster than the old stand by. here is a pic of the bottle. I would put pics of the cut but I don't have any because I didn't think that it would work or that I would be writing anything about it
