I just got my Khan Hood today in the mail. Only problem is, it doesn't fit. Hood looks like it is good size but the beak opening is way to small. Other than that it is a great hood very well made. I am going to email ken today about exchanges.
Jay, Absolutely, I stand behind my hoods. I will start on another today, did the hood fit but just the beak opening was too small? I make two style of beak openings for the Original Khan, a North American style, like the one I sent you and a Bigger Beak Opening preferred by the European Falconers.. I will make the new hood with the Bigger Beak. Some falconers prefer that over the smaller, me I like the NA version.. Ken Hooke Falconry Hoods International

i brought up the kahn hood to my sponsor and he doesnt know anything about it or ken really. so he is making me get one from someone he knows, i will still get one from ken and ill have 2 hoods, this way i can find out..
hey ken, how fast can i get a hood after ordering? i really want the 2 toned one like in your gallery on the redtail.
2 more weeks till i get to trap i hope, still waiting for the federal..
Rage, I am finishing up two hood orders for two people, they will be in the mail tomorrow.. A 2-toned Khan like the one pictured (it is also tooled) can be in the mail to you by Thursday,,, then it is out of my hands and up to the potsal service.. Then it is about 7-10 days, but no guarantee.. Sakerjack, Ken Hooke Falconry Hoods International
Will this hood work for a gos? Looks like it would to me but what do I know? I guess my question is do you have patterns and a good fit for a gos? I have a female Finn bird, fly's in the 50's.
shortwing, I flew a 44 oz. Fin Gos and the hood worked fine, I make a different beak opening for goshawks,, I have had the hoods work on all falcons cept merlins and kestrels, male NA gos hawks harris, redtails and a few goldies, so they fit all birds.. Hello Rage Wolf got the North American smaller beak opening, the bigger beak opening is not reall y bigger but is cut higher, this allows the top of the forhead to show seems the UK guys like that better,, I just sent Jay anew hood with the larger beak opening, he should be getting anyday,,
I highly recommend Ken. My first Khan Hood had a little problem with the beak opening but a quick email and a new hood was on its way. I got the new hood today and it fits perfectly. There is not better hood for $40. These $40 hoods match up to the many more expensive hoods I have and surpass many of them. Stitched leather, gortex braces, and a guaranteed fit for $40 you can’t beat it anywhere.
My only problem was shipping, not his fault at all. He lives west coast of Canada and I am east coast USA. Unless you do next day which is extremely expensive you will need to wait. The wait is worth it. Ken makes and gets your hood in the mail in under a week from the order, after that it is all up to the postal service. I defiantly will be buying from Ken again in the future.
Oops computer gliche, drop the last 3- What is a fair price?? By the way Jay I live in the middle of Canada, Manitoba !! Thanks for your kind words!! Ken
