My girlfriend called me all exited from work today, as her and a co-worker were out back the office for a smoke break. A bird had flown directly overhead and then landed on a light pole, then flew to another and left as if with an agenda. She noticed the trailing jesses as it flew overhead and dangling from its perch on the pole. She can identify and see a redtail from a mile away, but this was a falcon. Long pointed wings, pale breast and undersides of wings. She could see the anklets when it perched on the pole as well. Southwest of New Orleans 50 miles or so. I went look in the direction it flew a half hour or so later with a trap, but no luck. Just puttin it out there for ya'll. If it was mine I would appreciate it and be lookin.
