Stolen in Spokane, Washington: Imprint Female Goshawk (age 2) taken along with the truck she was perched in. Truck is a red two-door 1990 Nissan pickup with a white canopy, license plate A13528N, cracked windshield, missing the sun visor on the driver's side. If you see the pickup, call 911 and tell the cops. If you see the goshawk, who was jessed and wearing a black and blue hood, call 425.299.1488 or 509.546.5946
Besides the theft of the truck, I hope the authorities are sharp enough to get them on endangerment of a protected species!!!! An additional $5-$10,000 fine is in order.

Thought everyone would like to know that the goshawk and truck were recovered. I don't know the details so I'm not sure if they caught the crooks but I sure hope they did.

I was at the WFA meet this past weekend and saw the guy who's truck was stolen with his truck. I didn't want to ask about his gos though because I assumed the worst. Then I was talking to another falconer today and he said the gos was also recovered and that he (the owner) likes to tell the story. So, I guess I'll hear the story sooner or later.

Little Quincy? I'm not sure if he does. I know someone said there was a merlin at the meet though. Here's a pic I took of Quincy back at the summer picnic.

Sweet??? Somehow a carnivorous predator is anything but sweet from my perspective. Yarak( who is neither sweet or nice)
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away
Do you mean the meet just last weekend? He brought it with us kestrel hawkers at the meet last Nov. to that grainery where we were seeing all the sparrows. I got to hold it! I just talked with my sponsor tonight. He's working with a passage merlin he just trapped last month. She's currently flying exactly 100 grams higher than Rosie! 196g. Even as a passage he says she is just a wonderful sweetheart. I'm hoping to head over there this weekend to see her. Find out how the Gos is doing. Would Jayme know? I need to call her sometime....
