Does anyone know of any websites that teach(for free) how to make your own falconry equipment from leashes and jesses to hoods and giant hoods?
it would be a great help to me, and probably other pre apprentices!
thanks
FG

Hi Falcongirl Most of the stuff can be found in books with sizes and patterens. Jesses, leash, gianthood & perches are all pretty simple it's the hoods that take skill. Jess sizes you can find in a Northwoods, leashes can be as simple as a piece of nylon rope and gianthoods can be made out of all kinds of materials and shapes. I don't know of any websites that can teach you though.
that's my homepage! but all I could find was how to make giant hoods...

The tire perch is actualy great. I keep freshly trapped birds on it and somtimes still teather bird to it to weather. It was first recomended to me by Steve Layman, he came along with my sponsor and fish and game to do my inspection five years ago.
