hey every 1 i will be finished with my GHood tonight it is really turning out pretty good i got a cabinet door lock with a keyas soon as i can find my camera i will send a pic of it. David
Reil: asked did you glue and screw it together? Yes, I did glue and screw all joints and seams, for strenght, also keeps from warping door, PVC perch was cut for venting and saves weight, holes in floor for easy wash out, handle for carring or perching bird. Wes
Wes, How did you put the warning sign on? I like that, I want to do it to mine. I know where to get it, I have a couple. Did you just glue it and coat it with poly coat?-Zach
I used to think i knew some things. But i'm not so sure anymore.
Hi T-78: Yes, I put a little clear on area, let it set, applied another coat, placed sign (measured and marked before I started) and pushed air out from under sign with a thin piece of plastic putty knife.(decoupage) let dry and started coating door, I did it before I attached door to hood. Wes
Thats what I thought, pretty close to what I asked. Kind of reminds me of fiberglass( with the pushing out the air bubbles). I really like it, probally will do it when hood need another coat of poly.-Zach

Zach, Have to give some dummy a fair warning! Don't Mess with the Bird! It's the only one they GET! Most people are smart enough to stay clear, at park when I'm flying bird, One guy sits in his truck and watches, seen walkers stop and walk other way. Hehe! I'm 50 yards from walk lane. A few times someone has come and talked after I've put her in Ghood. My sponsors sister has been around his birds for 10+ years and still wouldn't get close unless we're holding birds or their in weathering. I've built molds out of fiber-glass used for man-made marble, motorcycle fenders, and lots of other repairs, as well.
I'm not kiding, looks like a little box inside hood, what is it a vent or something? little white box with round center, maybe intercom so the bird can talk to you?? wes
