Hi boys, Nowadays i have problems with entering my passage goshawk hen on rabbits..She is not large, but 930g in first year could be enougf for rabbit hunter ,couldn"t it?Rabbits are rare in my area,so she don"t have much experience with them. How should I motivate her to hunt them? There was no problem with the lure training..she always caught the lure correctly. But when rabbit is running around us she ignores it .. Is it problem,if she catch some pheasants before her first rabbit? ???Kukri

Well i tried this with my rt. im pretty sure it'll be the same with the gos. make sure she is on flying weight starve her for a day or two. get it a baggie. it'll be better if the bunny is brown. tie the bunny to something in case the gos gets it wrong and it tries to run away. If it dosent make an effort to get it kill the bunny yourself and tryto make him eat it. If that dsent work open the bunny up and show her the meat and let her it until she dont want anymore. After a couple of times of doing that it should start recognising bunnies as a food source. good luck!
