EIGHT LBs !! Bombs Away Yarak
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away
That seems to be around the weight that our jacks are at the ranch. The largest one I got down there weighed in at a smooth 10lbs 5oz.....I could of thown my saddle on it!!! ;D
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines "Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day; give him a religion................ and he'll starve to death while praying for a fish."
Nope, it was a 150 grain bird flying at about 2500 feet per second

I only tried to hunt jacks with my bird once. That was when I lost my first bird.......

I'm excited about a new hunting spot i found this past month. I'ts on 1,000 acres of public use land. Bud and i scoped it out while walking. He jumped six cts pretty fast. As we wakled on, i came to a field that is so thick with blackberry briars that bud couldn't get in there! There must have been at least twenty acres of berrys! On the other side of that field grows about a hundred acres of prairies grasses, with thick tufts of tall grasses perfect for bunny hiding . The conservation department planted several hundred acres of this land in corn and soybeans. They'll leave about half of it standing. There are a few hundred acres of oak/hickory woods, too. I didn't check them out very closely, but the cover and food sources are perfect for squirrels. The conservation agent told me they were developing a repectable quail population, too. Unless this area gets pounded at the start of the season, it has great promise for bunny hunting! The best part is that it's only about 20 miles from Home!! ;D Ok, I'm psyched! Trapping season is just around the corner, and i have a VERY promising spot for cts and squirrels! Life is good!

good news I found a great spot to though it's a 5 hour drive but the owners are putting in a covered weathering for when i come to visit. My nieceworks for a horse breeder and they are moving their operation top the Fraser Valley and it's over run with cotton tails. And geese as long as I'm flying birds I 'm welcome there. It's so cool. ;D
