Hey! If you want interesting names for dogs, I have a list. Was gonna use them on my first hawk, but he's already named by the person who's giving him to me. (grumble grumble)
Personally i wanted to wait and see what his personallity was going to be so we could pick a name based of that. I think he would have been called Chubaka Chewy for short. Ther chose Copper because of his colour. Sorry FB.

Yes Bob I am . Sit ........ok sit and house breaking is first on the list though he's doing very well on returning when called. He gets to carried awayt while playing with our pet rabbit to notice when he's called. But other than that he's doing well. He does get over zealous and plays a little rough at times but he's learning. Thanks for asking.
well sure but how much on the big side. i'm told that a show cocker is 15" at the shoulder and around 25 lbs. Hay if he gets bigger he gets bigger deal with right.
The size of the feet is a popular myth, however some vets say there is a little truth to it. Some of my show dogs had big feet and turned out to be runts. Remember this; AKC standards are written for conformation show judges to use as a comparative measure against other dogs of the same breed. In reality, there isn't a dog in the world that meets any breed standard exactly. With field dogs, the AKC standard pretty much goes out the window. All the hunters are interested in is performance. I've seen Labs, pointers and etc. that would have been thrown out of a show ring for being to big or to small but they were excellent hunting dogs. Conformation breeders try to breed to the standard and hunters breed for performance. Every once in a while you'll find a breeder that does both. If you do, hold on to you wallet when you try to buy one of his pups. Oh... and be ready tell your life's story, supply the breeder with a list of character referrences, get finger printed and produce your FBI file. Some of them wont sell to just anybody. All in all, you're probably fine with the Cocker you have. Your food bill may be a bit bigger than you anticipated, but it's only money .
